Willson, Ph.D, FAICP, a professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Cal Poly Pomona, explains the problems created by the parking requirement status quo before presenting a step-by-step process for reforming minimum parking requirements.
Willson will outline a toolkit that planners can use to provide an analytic and policy basis for parking requirement reform, offer examples of supportive parking management tools, and discuss strategies for moving reform forward with elected officials and stakeholders.
