Chagrin River Watershed Partners (CRWP) works with communities and watershed organizations in northeast Ohio to protect watersheds as communities grow. Healthy streams, riparian areas, and wetlands provide free services to communities, including flood and erosion control and water quality benefits.
CRWP assists communities with the adoption of riparian and wetland setbacks.
  • Assistance can include sharing information and tailored resources to community staff, planning and zoning commissions, and elected officials that can help start the discussion about riparian and wetland setback adoption.
  • If your community has already adopted riparian or wetland setbacks, we can also assist with implementation of your setbacks.
  • Implementation assistance may include site visits to investigate the application of setbacks at a specific site, review of development plans to ensure that setbacks are considered early on in the development stage, and review of variance requests within your community.
