Assistant Village Planner

Village of Granville

The Village of Granville is seeking qualified applicant for the position of Assistant Planner. An mid-level position supporting the planning department regarding zoning, planning and GIS mapping projects. Work includes zoning code interpretation, enforcement, code development, review of plans and projects in the Architectural Review District and community GIS mapping. Granville is a community known for careful planning and preservation efforts that combine housing stock of historical and new built homes. The historic downtown area is a vital and essential part of the Village. Granville is also home to Denison University. Residents are informed and active in both the community and local government. Granville schools are consistently ranked excellent by the state. Residents work hard to maintain the existing quality of life. Access to the greater Columbus area is just 20 minutes away. Applicants need to have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in planning or related field, 4 years of planning experience, experience with GIS mapping, completion of a successful background check, and possess a valid Ohio Driver’s license. The salary range is $30,594 to $46,082, plus excellent benefits. Applications are available online at the Village website at www.granville.oh.us.
