Call for Sessions | Miami Valley P&Z Workshop

Due July 27

29th Annual Miami Valley Planning and Zoning Workshop
Friday, December 4, 2015
Dayton, Ohio

Request for Session Proposals

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority, Miami Valley Section of the Ohio Chapter of the American Planning Association, and AIA Dayton are soliciting session proposals for our 29th Annual Miami Valley Planning and Zoning Workshop. The workshop will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, at the David H. Ponitz Conference Center at Sinclair Community College in downtown Dayton, Ohio, from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. AICP CM credits and AIA CES credits will be available for a number of the sessions.

Workshop attendees are comprised of professional planners and architects, citizen members of planning and zoning commissions and boards of appeals, and elected officials who represent both urban and rural jurisdictions in the Dayton metropolitan area. Accordingly, we are seeking topics that appeal to a broad segment of the community.

Sessions will run 75 minutes to 90 minutes. Free workshop registration is available for up to two speakers per session. The session organizer will be required to register their own speakers when registration opens.

The deadline to submit your proposal is Monday, July 27, 2015. Please submit your proposals to Erika Vogel at evogel@butlertownship.com on the attached session proposal form. The conference planning committee will review all the session proposals and contact each session organizer individually to them know whether their session was chosen for the workshop.

If you have questions, please contact Erika Vogel (evogel@butlertownship.com / 937-898-6735), or Ann Schenking (ann.schenking@daytonohio.gov / 937-333-3699).
