Equity Coordinator (Planning and Development)

City of Oberlin

Pay Range: 55,000-75,000/year

The City of Oberlin Planning and Development Department is accepting applications for a Full-Time Equity Coordinator.

The Equity Coordinator facilitates and promotes programs and initiatives related to the social equity goals of the community through strategy development, relationship building within the community and by fostering partnerships with relevant organizations in support of these goals. Strategies developed, managed and evaluated by the Equity Coordinator will have a strong focus in Housing Development, Economic Development and Workforce Development within the Oberlin community. The Equity Coordinator will work with relevant municipal departments, City Boards and Commissions, the Oberlin community and regional resources to develop, implement and promote various programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public administration, urban planning, urban studies or related discipline from an accredited college and 3-5 years of previous experience in social equity, social work, workforce development, real estate, economic development, facilitation, mediation, grant administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the skills and abilities necessary to perform the job. Previous experience in government administration is desirable. Once hired, the position requires a valid Ohio driver's license in order to coordinate efforts throughout the City.
