Description

The Planner III involves the application of advance planning skills to assigned tasks, larger projects or sub-projects. Technical duties include research, planning, evaluation and report-writing. This position directly supports and is responsible for tasks for NOACA’s Air Quality Planning program that includes regional air quality responsibilities to monitor and report the attainment of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and administration of a Rideshare project to support the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) program.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Planning, Public Policy, Environmental Studies or related field, plus five years of relevant planning experience. Masters Degree may be substituted for one year of experience;

• AICP-certified preferred, but not required;

• Advanced skills in application of Microsoft Office

software and other planning software;

• Familiarity with air quality standards and

monitoring concepts;

• Proven ability to conduct research and prepare

technical documents;

• Strong written and verbal communication;

• Interest in developing management and leadership

role

• Must be legally able to work in the United States.

Compensation

• Minimum $62,910 to commensurate with

experience and certification
