Concord Township is a growing Northeast Ohio community of approximately 18,646 residents, and is located 5 miles south of Lake Erie and 30 miles east of Cleveland. The Township is looking to hire an Assistant Zoning Inspector/ Planning Technician to assist in the daily operations of the Zoning Department. The Assistant Zoning Inspector/ Planning Technician, under the direction of the Zoning Inspector, will perform a variety of tasks relating to Township zoning activities. Primary responsibilities include reviewing zoning permit applications, performing on-site inspections, and working with the public to resolve zoning violations and complaints. Applicants should have strong customer service skills, highly organized, and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals. The applicant must have knowledge of basic principles, practices, and procedures related to planning, development, zoning, and site planning.
