The Pruitt-Igoe Myth | Unicorn Stencil Films

When built, the Pruitt-Igoe public housing complex in St. Louis was believed to be the model for urban renewal. But the dream quickly faded, and within two decades the image of the buildings' demolition became infamous. This documentary tells the story of Pruitt-Igoe through the experiences of those that used to call it HOME. Streaming is provided free by the filmmakers through July 31st "in solidarity with the protests against the killing of Black Americans and in support of racial justice," and free with a library card after.

CMHA's Woodhill Homes Choice Neighborhood Transformation | Justin Glanville | ideastream 

"Woodhill HOMES is one of the oldest public housing developments in Cleveland and the nation. In 2018, the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority and the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development began a two-year, $350,000 effort to reimagine Woodhill Homes and the neighborhood around it. Through 2020, ideastream's Justin Glanville is telling the stories of the neighborhood and its people - past, present, and future."
