Our conference venue has also taken the initiative to be sustainable. Some of the property’s key energy efficiency initiatives include being LEED Gold Certified, having fixtures designed to conserve water, optimizing energy performance with a twenty percent reduction in lighting power density & recycling soap.
The new tower (our conference location) has a Sempergreen "purple roof" system that contains a detention layer which delays the rainwater run-off from the roof and either transfers it into the stormwater sewer at a controlled rate or the rainwater is further treated and used as makeup water for multiple cycles of the hotel's cooling towers. Other features include a full recycling program, "bulk" amenities to reduce single-use plastics by 50%.
