Description
The Water Quality Planning Intern is a temporary position that is responsible for learning and applying the skills needed to perform and assist other staff members with assigned tasks. The position will conduct research, planning, and/or evaluation activities in support of NOACA’s Water Quality Planning program. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for a 12-month duration from date of hire.
Requirements
• Undergraduate student of junior or senior status,
enrolled in accredited bachelors degree program
and majoring in planning, environmental studies,
biology, water resources or related field;
• Experience conducting general research;
• Experience performing qualitative and quantitative
data gathering and analysis;
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software;
• Familiarity with geographic information systems
(GIS);
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint or other
presentation applications beneficial
• Willingness to demonstrate initiative and interest in
learning new skills
• Must be legally able to work in the United States
Compensation
• Minimum $17.00 to commensurate with
xperience
• Enrollment in Ohio Public Employees Retirement
System (OPERS) pension program
• Participation in NOACA’s monthly transit pass
subsidy program
