Professional Development Workshop

As a special pre-conference event, SPC25 will feature a Professional Development Workshop (PDW) designed to provide an immersive and educational experience focused on community-enhancing planning practices. This one-day workshop on Wednesday, September 24, offers participants the opportunity to explore how public spaces can thoughtfully integrate history, recreation, education, and sustainability. This event is an additional charge. Lunch is included. Register here.

Paths of Progress: A Planning Tour through Metroparks Toledo: The PDW this year will involve a guided bus tour of several Metroparks Toledo facilities that have incorporated aspects of history, recreation, education, and sustainability. The guided bus tour will be narrated by Matthew Killam (Chief External Relations Officer) of Metroparks Toledo.

Tour stops include:

  • Glass City Metropark (and the Ribbon)
  • Middlegrounds Metropark
  • Cannaley Treehouse Village in Oak Openings (lunch location)
  • Providence Metropark (Ludwig Mill/Canal Boat)

Cities of the Future 3D IMAX Film | A Private Screening
