Call for Sessions
The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority and Miami Valley Section of the Ohio Chapter of the American Planning Association are soliciting session proposals for our 36th Annual Miami Valley Planning and Zoning Workshop. The workshop will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Sinclair Ponitz Conference Center at Sinclair Community College in downtown Dayton, Ohio, from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM. AICP CM and/or AIA credits will be available for many sessions.
Workshop attendees are comprised of professional planners and architects, citizen members of planning and zoning commissions and boards of appeals, and elected officials who represent both urban and rural jurisdictions in the Dayton metropolitan area. Accordingly, we are seeking topics that appeal to a broad segment of the community.
Most sessions will run 60 minutes with a few running 75 minutes. Free workshop registration is available for up to two speakers per session. The session organizer will be required to register their own speakers when registration opens.
The deadline to submit your proposal is Monday, August 26, 2024. Please submit your proposals to Susan Vincent, susan.vincent@daytonohio.gov, via the link below. The workshop planning committee will review all session proposals in early September and contact each session organizer individually to them know whether their session was chosen for the workshop.
