Call for Session Proposals
The Miami Valley Section of the Ohio Chapter of the American Planning Association is soliciting session proposals for our 37th Annual Miami Valley Planning and Zoning Workshop. The workshop will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Sinclair Conference Center in downtown Dayton, Ohio, from 8:00 AM until 3:30 PM. AICP CM and/or AIA credits will be available for many sessions.
Workshop attendees are comprised of over 350 professional planners, engineers, architects, landscape architects, attorneys, zoning officials, policy advocates, citizen members of planning and zoning commissions and boards of appeals, and elected officials who represent both urban and rural jurisdictions in the Dayton metropolitan area. Accordingly, we are seeking topics that appeal to a broad segment of the community. Engaging and interactive presentations are highly encouraged. Please indicate if you require special room accommodations, such as tables or special equipment.
Most sessions will run 60 minutes with a few running 75 minutes. Free workshop registration is available for up to two speakers per session. The session organizer will be required to register their own speakers when registration opens.
The deadline to submit your proposal is Monday, August 25, 2025. Please submit your session proposals to Chad Adkins, chad.adkins@p3planner.com. The workshop planning committee will review all session proposals in early September, and we will coordinate with each session organizer individually as we prepare the workshop program and schedule.
