Planning Officer
City of Marysville
Pay Range: $50,000-$65,000
The City of Marysville is seeking a Planning Officer to join our team. Come join our highly professional team and our extremely stable work environment (City Manager/Council form of government). The Planning Officer is responsible for assisting our City Planner to plan for city growth and development, as well as, code enforcement efforts within our Zoning Division. The Planning Officer must be able to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and successfully communicate and work well with others.
Job Responsibilities:
-Effectively communicates with the public, developers, and business owners regarding community planning and development activities.
-Performs planning and development duties such as; reviewing site plans, preparing and reviewing staff comments for commission meetings and assisting with the drafting and implementation of land use, community development, and growth plans.
-Performs as a City advisor to the Planning Commission, BZA, DRB, the City Manager, City Council and other City staff members on matters relating to planning and development.
-Assists in drafting and implementing zoning code amendments, land use, community development and growth plans under the guidance of the City Planner.

Job Requirements:
-Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record.
-High School Diploma.
-Bachelor's degree in city or regional planning or related field.
-A Master's degree is a plus.
-An AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) certification is strongly desired.
Annual salary is $50,000- $65,000 (depending on the successful candidate's qualifications) and an excellent benefit package.
