The Cleveland Section of APA Ohio is proud to host its 27th Annual Planning & Zoning Workshop. The 2015 Workshop will once again offer valuable information on the basics of planning and zoning, as well as exploring current topics of interest in greater depth.

Workshop attendees include citizen and professional planners, community officials, zoning administrators, attorneys and others with an interest in planning and zoning-related topics. This annual workshop attracts more than 300 attendees from across Northeast Ohio.

APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP

APA Cleveland is offering up to ten professional and/or citizen planner scholarships to cover registration fees for the 2015 Planning & Zoning Workshop. Current APA Ohio members are eligible for a scholarship equal to 100% of the registration fee; non-members are eligible for a scholarship equal to 50% of the registration fee.

Preference will be given to applicants who are currently unemployed, in their early career stage (first 5 years after planning/related degree obtained) or whose current employer will not pay registration fees.

  • October 9 > Applications Due
  • October 16 > Recipients Notified

Students are not eligible for this scholarship as they already benefit from a reduced registration rate.

Workshop registration will open September 21.

You may register multiple attendees from the same organization on one invoice. If you are registering both members and non-members at the same time, you must log in to the registration form with the member's information first.

Regular Registration Rates (Oct 10 - Oct 30)

  • APA Ohio Member $125
  • Non-Member $150

Registration fees may be paid by check or by credit card - select your preference during the registration process. For check payment, an invoice will be emailed to you automatically. Please make checks payable to: APA Ohio, P.O. Box 4085, Copley, OH, 44321.

Please note that cancellation refunds must be requested in writing to info@ohioplanning.org before October 30; a $25 processing fee will apply.

PROPOSE A SESSION

Session proposals were due by July 2. Review the Call for Sessions.

Three learning tracks will provide planning expertise at several levels of the profession. Session proposals on the AICP CM required topic of Ethics are also requested. Session tracks include:

  • Essentials of Planning and Zoning
  • Rural/Township Topics
  • Planning Law

The Section intends to offer AICP CM credits for all sessions, so organizers are encouraged to structure their sessions to be consistent with CM eligibility requirements. We also plan to apply for CLE credits on eligible Planning Law sessions for attorneys.
