Hancock Regional Planning Commission
Pay Range: $44,000 to $56,000
The Hancock Regional Planning Commission is located in Hancock County, northwest Ohio. The county population is near 78,000. The county seat is Findlay with a population 48,000. HRPC provides professional planning, zoning, and grant writing services to its Members, Associate Members and Clients.
The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in writing and developing various types of planning documents; have an interest in downtown redevelopment; exhibit strong initiative and ability to work independently on long term projects; work collaboratively with other agencies in plan research and preparation; conduct data collection and field observations; provide support for various grant programs; review and analyze previous studies and existing plans; ability to create and deliver quality presentations; and perform related duties as required. This position will also oversee the Downtown Design Review District and the City and County Revolving Loan Fund Programs.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning, or related field, from an accredited college or university is required. Two years of professional experience as an urban planner is preferred but entry level candidates are encouraged to apply. GIS skills are preferred.
